Manufacturing Manager jobs in New Mexico
Manufacturing Manager plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Manufacturing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Description: Manage core operations such as resourcing/staffing, recruitment, limited financial processes depending on current authority, project deliveries, strategic operational plans, establishing and accomplishing company goals or KRAs. - Handles both Manufacturing and Engineering team. OPERATIONS - Monitor, plan, and add resource requirements as driven by business demands, both manpower and equipment. - Ensure products are delivered on time while meeting the company metrics such as quantity, cycle time, and OCD (original commitment date), and doing so at cost-effective means. - Work on continuous improvement of company metrics. - Coach, counsel, and perform performance appraisals COMMUNICATION - Ability to liaise between multi-cultural groups, between local operations and business unit counterparts. - Do the same monitoring and coordination with subcon and subcon ops. - Good vocal communication with good ability to understand and interpret spoken information.
