Summary:
As the Surface Mount Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of operations activities related to SMT production. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient accomplishment of production goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This role involves overseeing both manufacturing and quality engineering processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and recommend short and long-range objectives consistent with company goals, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
• Direct and coordinate production operations using contemporary manufacturing techniques such as cellular manufacturing, process flow optimization, and just-in-time methodologies.
• Manage all aspects of capital equipment purchases, engineering documentation, and product routing.
• Participate in new business proposals and establish time standards for factory operations.
• Lead the SMD manufacturing department and technical staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
• Review organizational and staffing plans to ensure alignment with operational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Select, guide, train, and evaluate employees to maintain a high-performing team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline.
• 4-6 years of significant management experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• At least 4 years of SMT manufacturing experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs for organizational change.
