Manufacturing Manager plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Role Summary:
The machine operator – knife fabrication is responsible for setting up and operating various forging, cutting grinding and welding machines. Robot experience preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Observe all safety and security requirements
- Operate machines and/or other equipment for product processing
- Set up and maintain all tooling
- Keep inventory of tooling
- Work with Machine Shop to rework and order replacement tooling
- Understand process routing sheet and follow work instructions
- Produce quality work in the quantities necesessry on a daily basis
- Self motivation, dedication and punctuality is critical for this position
Qualifications:
- GED
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Good oral and writing communication skills
- Basic math skills
