The Welding Technician supports new, current, and repair work necessary for production at ArtiFlex Gerstco. The Welding Technician will work with maintenance, production, production supervisors, and engineering. The goal of the Welding Technician is to ensure safe work environment, improve processes efficiency, and perform nondestructive and destructive testing, weld repair and fabrication to assist production. Troubleshoot machine and welding issues in a timely manner. Assist in implementation of new products into Gerstco manufacturing.
Responsibilities:- Support and follow the Company Safety Program
- Assist Operations/Assembly as needed
- Destructive Testing
- Nondestructive Testing
- Welding Repair
- Welding Fabrication
Preferred Qualifications:- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong background in GTAW with GMAW experience
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Knowledge of destructive and nondestructive testing
- Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
- Proficient with Microsoft word, Excel
- Ability to fabricate from blueprints
- Basic Production Operations knowledge
- Basic Robotic Programming and Automation knowledge
- Basic record/log keeping
