POSITION SUMMARY

The Facility Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.). Maintains operating supplies to enable to completion of a monthly Preventative Maintenance program.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Fills in as backup for Maintenance Custodian
• Manages HVAC system
• Performs all schedule work requests
• Performs day to day repairs, emergency, and daily Preventative Maintenance
• Assists in office moves, furniture moves and factory moving
• Serves as back up in security procedures such as building lock up and open
• Operates all vehicles and other job-related equipment safely
• Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks
• Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems
• Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Associate’s Degree (two-year college or technical school): Preferred
Field of Study: Building Maintenance Technology

Experience:

2 plus years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment: Required
2 plus years’ experience with HVAC: Preferred
2 plus years. Experience driving a Forklift: Preferred

Computer Skills:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Preferred

Certifications & Licenses:

HVAC: Preferred

Valid Drivers’ License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standard

Other Requirements:

Travel less than 5% for training purposes Domestically.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Climate controlled office and factory environment with moderate noise levels. Working at heights above 20 feet in an articulating lift. Can get dirty from dust, oil and grease from items on equipment needing repair.
