Primary Objective
Directs and coordinates the overall tile manufacturing operation at a production site to ensure all objectives (quantity, quality, safety, cost control, etc.) are met.
Major Function and Scope
Ensures continuous and efficient production in desired quantities and in a timely manner to meet logistic schedules.
Monitors and conducts reviews of quality system.
Ensures safe and healthful working conditions for associates and ensures an organized work environment.
Oversees scheduling with Production Manager that meets production objectives in coordination with other areas.
Establishes improvements in each department to improve safety, quality and production.
Ensures appropriate training of organization as needs are identified.
Coaches and reviews performance of line operator direct reports.
Experience and Knowledge Required
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Management/Business/Ceramics is preferred.
Knowledge of ceramic industry and ISO quality standards preferred.
4 years of manufacturing operations experience; 2 years supervisory experience preferredCompetencies
Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks. Good oral and written communication skills. Good listening skills. Good record keeping skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to read and understand procedures in English
