May require an associate's degree with 2-4 years of experience in the field. Being a Marine Cargo Inspector is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Marine Cargo Inspector performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. The ideal candidate will have extensive management experience working in, or with, New York State (NYS) government. Experience with the Medicaid program and its information systems is preferred.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. This position is located in Albany. This is an appointment to a position in the exempt jurisdictional class. As such, the incumbent of this position will serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.
