Building Inspector – Part-Time
The City of Grundy Center, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is accepting applications for a part-time position as Building Inspector. Position averages 10-15 hours per week.
Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, valid Iowa Drivers, must be able to obtain the building inspector certification in areas as required by Iowa Code, within one year of hire. Experience in code enforcement for nuisance properties and issues preferred. Employment with the City is required for two (2) years following certification or the employee will reimburse the City for all education-related expenses incurred. Physical requirement must be able to lift objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Minimum age required is 18 years of age. Wages set based on experience.
