We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various boats and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. A marine mechanic job requires a lot of analysis to determine the correct fixes, so it is a thinking job.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment
- Inspect and test vehicle systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete repairs
- Weld, assemble, and fabricate parts as needed
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
We will train on marine mechanics including study material and formal winter schooling leading to Certification
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
