    Responsibilities:

    • Trailer Repair and Maintenance:
    • Conduct basic trailer inspections and identify necessary repairs.
    • Perform routine maintenance on boat trailers, including bearing replacements, brake adjustments, and lighting repairs.
    • Ensure trailers meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Engine Diagnostics:
    • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot engine issues.
    • Perform regular engine inspections and preventive maintenance.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support during boat demonstrations.
    • Fuel System Cleaning:
    • Clean and service fuel systems to optimize engine performance.
    • Identify and address issues related to fuel filters, injectors, and fuel pumps.
    • Educate customers on proper fuel system maintenance practices.
    • Electrical Diagnosis and Repair:
    • Diagnose and repair electrical issues in boats and marine equipment.
    • Install and troubleshoot marine electronics, including navigation systems, GPS, and communication devices.
    • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
    • Steering Repair:
    • Inspect and repair boat steering systems.
    • Perform alignments and adjustments to ensure proper steering functionality.
    • Address issues related to hydraulic and mechanical steering components.
    • Boat Maintenance:
    • Conduct routine inspections of boats for structural integrity and cosmetic issues.
    • Perform maintenance tasks such as hull cleaning, antifouling applications, and gel coat repairs.
    • Assist in winterization and de-winterization procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Marine Technician or similar role.
    • Technical proficiency in boat engines, electrical systems, and trailer maintenance.
    • Knowledge of fuel systems and fuel injection technology.
    • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with marine electronics and navigation systems.
    • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Physical fitness and ability to work in a marine environment.

    Education and Certification:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Technical certification or degree in marine technology or a related field is preferred.
    • Relevant certifications from marine industry associations are a plus.
