Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Marine Technician to join our team. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various types of marine vessels. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on marine vessels, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, and filter replacements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, such as engine malfunctions, electrical problems, and fuel system failures
- Conduct inspections to identify any potential issues or areas of concern
- Install and repair boat components, including sheet metal work, rigging, and electrical systems
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Solder and connect electrical wiring according to schematics
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Marine Technician or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of marine vessel systems
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing engine malfunctions
- Familiarity with sheet metal work, rigging, and electrical systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records
