Marine Technician

King Marine Group, Inc. specializes in providing service to customers through marine electronics sales, installation, tech support, and servicing of Mercury Marine motors. This position will be an integral part of our service department.

Job duties and Qualifications:

• Perform accurate and timely inspections, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and installation
• Provide quality standard Mercury services
• Maintain leading-edge knowledge of marine diagnosis technology
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on a variety of boats
• Troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues in order to make repairs
• Ability to summarize and winterize boats
• Work independently to complete assignments
• Oil changes/ filter, fuel filter changes, spark plug changes, lower unit fluid changes, impeller changes, transmission & v-drive fluid changes, etc.
• Understanding of electrical systems and wiring
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment a must
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner to our customers and associates
• Ability to do heavy lifting in excess of 60 lbs
• Ability to work in a shop environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• High school education or equivalent
• Higher level technical certifications preferred
• Higher training and certifications to advance will be offered
• Work with a "Built to Serve" attitude
