Requirements of the position:

• Read/write/speak English.
• Be efficient in excel & word documents.
• Demonstrate basic math skills.
• Have a HS diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a security background check.
• Able to pass a drug screen.
• Must have a California driver’s license.
• Able to work onboard ship; Climb ladders, scaffolds, work in confined spaces and on platforms off of the ground.
• Shipboard repair experience as a civilian contractor.
• Willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Write and submit checkpoint callout (26-1 Form).
• Attend IG and VG inspections.
• Correspond with customer representatives and production department.
• Support project requirements.
• Generate TIPS as "prime" contractor and submit to SUPERVISOR.
• Conduct TIP reviews with Production.
• Ensure TIPs get closed out at the end of the jobs.
• Ensure OQE are processed properly (i.e. submit Final Checkpoint to customer).
• Ensure all tools needing calibration are submitted to third party supplier to get calibrated.
• Keep calibration log and records up to date.
• Act as internal auditor as needed.
• Process “Approved” PCPs in-house.
• Review PCPs, in-process.
• Assist in maintaining equipment calibration logs and calibrated equipment records up to date.
• Conduct preliminary visual & PT inspections.
• Support & conduct jobsite surveillance using form QF-8213.
• Comply with EHS and Quality policies and procedures.
• Conduct new hire orientation and NAVSEA 009 Standards training.
• Attend monthly PSDSRA quality sub-committee meeting.
• Participate in Staff, QMS and some production meetings.
• Have knowledge about shipyard safety requirements of OSHA 1915 and act as a backup.
• Responsible for revising, keeping up to date and implementing QC procedures:

• Measuring Devices Control
• Test and Inspection

• Uphold all company policies and procedures.
