As a MarineTechnician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vessels, including outboard engines, Stern drive engines, jet drives, electrical systems, navigation equipment and any other machinery found on boats, ships, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a passion for boats. The primary objective is to provide high-quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.

    Key responsibilities may include:

    • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
    • Performing routine maintenance and inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
    • Repairing or replacing faulty components, such as engines, pumps, or generators.
    • Installing new equipment or upgrades as per specifications.
    • Conducting sea trials to test equipment performance.
    • Following safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
    • Collaborating with other team members, such as engineers, captains, or crew, to address technical issues.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous experience as a Marine Technician preferred (2 years)
    • Knowledge of marine vessels, including engines, and electrical systems.
    • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
    • NYS Boaters safety course.
    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Specialty tools are *not* required.
    • Forklift and Travel Lift experience preferred.

    Pay based on experience. Will pay more per hour with proven experience and knowledge.

    Please note that this position may require occasional overtime hours and flexibility in scheduling.
