Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Security Officer to be part of our team as we expand our portfolio. Our newest addition will be a downtown Minneapolis, full-service, $15M revenue property with a global brand affiliation. The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the protection and safety of the guests, staff, and property.

What you will be doing:

• Patrols premises on foot to include guestroom floors, meeting space, back of the house areas, public areas, stairwells, parking ramp, and surface lot.
• Meets, greets and assists guests and associates.
• Writes incident report and nightly shift report.
• Maintains safety of guests and associates.
• Protects property and company assets.
• Witnesses Cash Drops.
• Assists in other areas when needed.
• Confirm doors are secured during required times and unlocked as scheduled
• 3rd shift delivery of amenities as requested by guests and collection of breakfast door hangers and room service trays.
• Enforces noise ordinance.
• Works with MOD to address situations involving guests and/or associates.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Prior hospitality, guest service and/or security experience preferred.
• Ability to read/write in English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
