Putnam Market needs a full-time Baker in this full-time, year round job. The position may include a 8am- 4pm shift or early morning shift, including weekends.
The Baker/Cake Decorator will be responsible for ongoing production of baked goods from scratch. There may be some cake decorating. This job requires precision, speed, stamina, organizational skills, teamwork and an outstanding personality; should have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
There are advancement opportunities.
Mandatory Experience : minimum 1 year high volume commercial baking from scratch. Please be specific about your experience in your resume.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
*Production of everyday items: scones, muffins, cookies, brownies
*Making and rolling pie doughs; baking pies
*Cake baking and decorating
*Inventory and finished goods rotation
*Monitoring food costs
*Recipe development
*Teamwork with kitchen, deli, and market staff
*Customer interaction
Pay is $16-$20/hour, depending on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
