    Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking an Analyst Market Research & Data to join our dedicated Sales Analytics team in this remote position. This position works primarily remote (90%) with ad hoc needs to visit our NY/IN sites. Qualified candidates will be based in the continental U.S. and be comfortable working Eastern standard hours. Citizenship sponsorship is not available for this position.

    The Pay Range: $74,000 - $82,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions, with this the upper end of the range is not always likely to be offered.

    The Role:
    The mission for this role is to play a key role in supporting our customer-facing team by uncovering new business opportunities, gathering valuable market insights, and harnessing intelligence from our existing datasets to provide actionable recommendations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. These solutions will not only support critical business processes but also enhance operational efficiency, fostering the growth and success of our company.

    Core Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify opportunities or data-driven insights and improvements.
    • Examine and analyze market trends in the biopharmaceutical industry, focusing on relevant changes in Series B or C venture capital funding within our target business sectors.
    • Collect, clean, and transform complex datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), business trends, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
    • Perform in-depth data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations that drive strategic decision-making and operational enhancements.
    • Interpret and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, effectively conveying complex insights in a clear and concise manner.
    • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of BI solutions, proactively identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
    • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and contribute innovative ideas to the team.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to the development of data-driven strategies across the organization.
    • Responsible for compiling, analyzing, and interpreting sales pipeline metrics.
    • Maintains revenue reporting for the commercial organization.
    • Partners with finance to manage the sales commission process and tools.
    • Prepares accurate reports using data from internal and external sources for the Commercial team and executives.
    • Creates custom spend reports, price lists, or discount letters for clients.
    • Effectively respond to requests for ad hoc analyses.

    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required. Market research, mathematics, or business degrees preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and/or training in predictive data analytics.
    • High proficiency in Excel
    • Biopharmaceutical and/or venture capital experience preferred.
    • Power BI or other data visualization tool experience a plus.
    • Experience in a technical or specialized field requiring extended training to perform a wide range of assignments and resolve non-standard problems.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization both verbally and written.
    • Ability to actively listen and understand information presented by people with different communication styles and different points of view.
    • Experience reporting revenue and working cross functionally with customer facing teams a plus.
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
    • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems at the highest level.
    • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret test results and formulate theories; and/or develop and establish rules, policies, or procedures on matters for which standard procedures have not yet been developed.

    Travel:
    Occasional travel is required, generally 2 to 5 trips per year. Overnight travel may be necessary.
