Overview
Position Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 20% Engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements for desired data system improvements and service application development;
• 20% Develop designs for and participate in the implementation of technical changes to the data warehouse;
• 20% Curate project documentation as well as the resulting stakeholder training and work aid materials;
• 10% Apply principles and practices from software design, management or management information systems theory to the development of software systems, including but not limited to the selection of appropriate techniques for the display of data, understanding the relationship between data and the underlying outcome measures the data is meant to illustrate, etc.;
• 10% Maintain effective interpersonal relations and communications in a team workplace environment.
• 20% Other duties as assigned.

• Position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, OMIS or related field plus five years of demonstrated experience as a business analyst specifically related to software design and development.
• Demonstration of 5 years of experience in the development of full sets of detailed business requirements.
• Demonstration of 5 years of experience leading requirement gathering processes in general and live sessions in particular.
• Demonstration of 5 years of experience in the design and development of project documentation and other technical training materials.
• Demonstration of 3 years of recent experience acting as a liaison between technical and non-technical staff as well as executive project leadership.
• Expertise in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL)

• Experience with data modeling at the warehouse level
• Experience with Entity Relationship Diagram tools
• Professional certification in business analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and Teams
• Demonstrated experience/proficiency in statistical analysis, data evaluation, and/or educational policy analysis, particularly those relevant to IIRC's mission and services.
• Ability to adapt quickly to project requirements for different stakeholders and to shift focus to serve changing project goals and demanding deadlines. This project will require flexible thinking and eagerness to perform duties as required within the flow of the project over time.
• Demonstrable skills in effective interpersonal relations, team work, and oral and written communication.
