Assistant Manager

The RHOMarket is an online market that connects residents of Tallahassee and beyond with products grown or produced at farms within a 100-mile radius. This position assists the Market Manager in oversight of all distribution, market operations, producer/ staff communications, and customer service. This position includes a combination of in person and remote work.

Hours: Approximately 20 hrs/ week, max 25/ week

Pay: $15/ hr as contractor

Description / Duties:

Market Operations:

• 12 pm- 5 pm Wednesdays- Producer check in/ Market prep
• 7 am- 4:30 pm Thursdays- Market day operations

Delivery Driver Coordination:

• Distribute driver email routes each market period
• Market day communications with delivery drivers

Newsletter:

• Write, schedule, and send weekly newsletter
• Communicate with producers and Hubs to arrange features
• Email newsletter link and lead photo to Social Media Manager

Additional duties:

• Share responsibility of printing and editing the weekly RHOM orders with Manager
• Assist with preparing Market documents for each period
• Assist in employee training and development
• Learn the administrative responsibilities so as to perform when the Market Manager is unavailable
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer software (Microsoft Office)
• Must have remote access to wifi
• Ability to evaluate process effectiveness, implement changes, and develop alternatives.
• Ability to transport products or parcels weighing 30 pounds

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
