Market Research Director is responsible for the market research department. Directs and oversees an organization's marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives. Being a Market Research Director manages a team to review changes to the marketplace and industry and adjusts marketing plan accordingly. Analyzes existing goals and programs and recommends improvements. Additionally, Market Research Director requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a top management. The Market Research Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Market Research Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Purpose
The Electrical Research Engineer is responsible for performing and analyzing research across various disciplines, working with engineers to conduct complex engineering testing and analyses, designing and implementing new standards, protocols, processes and equipment and providing technical reports and presentations to assist in planning and direction.
Essential Functions*- Develop and use of analytical procedures, component and/or full scale vehicle testing
- Primarily in the areas of automated vehicles and automotive cyber security research.
- Perform design analyses of motor vehicle safety systems

Other Duties and Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions)- Create detailed cost estimates for tasks
- Establish and maintain task schedules and budgets
- Write research papers and technical reports
- Completion of customer support in a timely, error-free and competitive manner
- Report research and test results in a basic format
- Work in a team to reach technical project goals
- Critically evaluate and correct deficiencies in technical proposals, plans, and reports
- Make technical decisions with assistance
- Support TRC Inc.’s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or appropriate comparable discipline
- Candidate must have knowledge and experience in modeling and simulation of mechanical and/or electrical systems and in data acquisition and reduction.
- Candidate must have demonstrated computer programming skills and strong knowledge of vehicle network.
- Technical knowledge to solve tough substantive, work-related problems
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including word processing and data analysis software
- Basic project management skills
Working conditions- Standard office, climate controlled environment
Physical requirements- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers
