    We have an opportunity for a remote Manager, Market Research on our Environmentally Intelligence team.

    As a Manager, Market Research, you will conduct custom market research and analytics to generate strategic business insights.  Insights will be used to provide decision advantages and influence decision-making and strategic planning across high levels of multiple business units across the AMA. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Market Research and Data Analytics                                                                         

    • Collaborate with Strategic Insights and AMA Business Unit Leadership to appropriately scope and execute custom market research
    • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced market research methodology and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover business and partnership opportunities This includes the following:
    • Design, program, test, and administer surveys.
    • Manage data collection and analysis
    • Draft deliverables expressing ideas clearly and logically, leverage visuals to communicate insights
    • Articulate points clearly in writing and presenting
    • Serve as an enterprise subject matter expert on the latest quantitative market research and analytics methodologies

    Vendor Management                                                                                                  

    • Identify and manage relationships with external research vendors, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
    • Evaluate vendor performance and explore opportunities for partnership and innovation.

    Relationship Development                                                                              

    • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across the enterprise to represent Strategic Insights business unit as a trusted and reliable partner.
    • Develop and maintain working relationships with an array of vendors, outside experts, and collaborators to aid in the research, testing, and development of AMA programs, products, and services.

    People Management                                                                                       

    • Lead, mentor, and provide management oversight for professional staff; identify opportunities for advancing staff skills and expertise. 
    • Maintain responsibility for project and team progress and performance spanning core functions of unit; help identify and set objectives and measure progress for department.

    May include other responsibilities as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    1.     Bachelor’s degree required. MBA, MS, MA, MPH, PMP, or equivalent certification preferred.

    2.     Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a high-performance organization, leading market research and data analytics. Experience in healthcare or public health, as well as managing staff, is preferred

    3.     Strong analysis skills; mastery of traditional analytical tools (such as SPSS, SAS, R, Python, etc.)

    4.     Demonstrated experience in using analytical concepts and statistical techniques through commercial lens: hypothesis development, designing and conducting tests/experiments/studies, analyzing data, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.

    5.     Able to conduct complex analyses, identify key insights, and present recommended actions with executive presence.

    6.     Strong ability to plan and manage numerous analytics processes, stakeholders, and projects simultaneously.

    7.     Demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to exercise diplomacy, tact, professionalism, responsiveness, and a high level of flexibility.

    8.     Effective time management, organization, and prioritization with autonomy; demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.

    9.     Polished interpersonal skills; effective communication, both written and verbal; with the ability to think and communicate, formulate a clear point of view on complicated issues, and create a concise and well-written narrative.

    The pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is ($102k -$138k).  This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
