Market Research Supervisor supervises activities in the market research department. Ensures appropriate use of analytic techniques to determine demand for products and services. Being a Market Research Supervisor interprets and predicts consumer trends, formulates research and development proposals, and monitors research projects. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Market Research Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Job Summary This position is responsible for gathering, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting various marketing, financial and operating data. Responsible for organizing and analyzing internal and external data consisting of membership, operational, satisfaction, and external marketing data; performing statistical analysis, report preparation, and programming using a variety of tools. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree OR 4 years marketing research, consulting or planning experience may be substituted for the degree. Knowledge of financial and statistical analysis and interpretation. Quantitative and qualitative research and analytic skills. Knowledge of key software packages (word processing, data management, spreadsheet, statistical analysis and presentation) and experience with corporate programming languages (SAS, SPSS, among others). Project management skills, including strong organization, prioritization, problem solving and communication skills; ability to accept direction and feedback. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects concurrently. Initiative and persistence, with ability to meet deadlines.
