Market Research Supervisor supervises activities in the market research department. Ensures appropriate use of analytic techniques to determine demand for products and services. Being a Market Research Supervisor interprets and predicts consumer trends, formulates research and development proposals, and monitors research projects. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Market Research Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Description: Maverick Construction Group is looking for an Estimator to join our team. MCG is a Union Carpentry & Drywall contractor based in NYC. This position is in office 5 days a week at our Long Island City office.
Day-to-Day:
- Prepare quantity take-offs and estimate costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required based on contract drawings.
- Review plans, specifications, addenda and documentation to determine scope of work.
- Obtain pricing form subcontractors when necessary for trades including but not limited to: electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, masonry, flooring, millwork.
- Participate in Scope Review meetings with clients prior to award.
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience as a Drywall Estimator.
- Experience with Microsoft programs.
- Experience with BlueBeam.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,080.58 - $81,989.52 per year
