Position Summary
Responsible for overall supervision and daily operations of all Admitting/Registration and communications areas. Registers patients and/or provides coverage as needed. Serves as liaison between physicians, physicians’ office staff, community, Business Office, Administration, hospital staff and the Registration Department. In conjunction with the Patient Access Director, ensures adherence to hospital financial and admitting policies. Monitor staff performance, attendance, payroll systems, and required Patient Access compliance metrics. Prepares department staffing schedules for review with Director. Develops and initiates policies and procedures relevant to the hospital’s registration process and staff; implements new programs and procedures to improve services, operations and efficiency. Participates in appropriate multi-disciplinary committees. Promotes positive relationships with patient, physician, ancillary and nursing staff. Displays a professional and positive image for the hospital and Patient Access Department. Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 10-20 pounds). Mostly sedentary work. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

Pay range: $27.67 Minimum - $42.88 Maximum an hour
