Marketing Communication Director directs, implements, monitors, and evaluates marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Director builds cross-functional relationships with organizational stakeholders to understand products, customers, and industry and develop a focused communication program. Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials. Additionally, Marketing Communication Director explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications. May oversee planning for trade shows and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging. Develops budgets and internal and external resources for communication program delivery. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Marketing Communication Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Marketing Communication Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Responsibilities

    • Client Service: The Marketing Director will manage client relationships and supervise work with members of the Marketing, Communications and/or Creative teams to deliver exceptional service.
    • Effective Marketing: The Marketing Director will oversee results-oriented marketing programs by our internal teams as well as with partners in Hawaii and from around the globe
    • Project Management: The Marketing Director will be responsible for managing projects related to his/her assigned clients, including assisting with project timelines, budgets and vendors. He/she will coordinate with other members of the agency’s team and any vendors to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance to meet or exceed established objectives.

    Formal Education and Work Experience

    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
    • 10 years of progressive work experience in communications and public relations
    • Work experience in an agency desirable
    • A record of increasingly greater career responsibility and accomplishments

    Technical Skills

    • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns

    • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

    • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels

    • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments

    • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools

    • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns

    • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

    • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and best practices

    • Keen attention to detail, organization and excellent math and problem solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Both leadership and team player qualities are essential
    • Entrepreneurial spirit, youthful energy but mature mindset
    • Familiarity of local history, culture and marketplace a must
    • Ongoing love of learning highly desirable
