Marketing Communication Director directs, implements, monitors, and evaluates marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Director builds cross-functional relationships with organizational stakeholders to understand products, customers, and industry and develop a focused communication program. Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials. Additionally, Marketing Communication Director explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications. May oversee planning for trade shows and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging. Develops budgets and internal and external resources for communication program delivery. REPORTS TO: Regional Director of Marketing
POSITION PURPOSE:
Coordinates all sales/marketing efforts related to admission of new residents into facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
· Confers with hospitals, doctors’ offices, internal facility staff members, Marketing Coordinators and Case Managers to coordinate and schedule the admission of new residents
· Does bedside sales at hospitals of open referrals to secure admissions
· Talks with patients and patient families about strengths of facility
· Discusses plan of care with Case Managers, Social Workers, and Physicians
· Attends Healthcare Summits and other beneficial healthcare events in the community hosted by clinicians, Case Management, Social Workers, etc.
· Follows up with Hospital Case Managers and Social Workers on patient status and discharge date
· Maintains and updates referral log for facility
· Notifies Admission Coordinator(s) of new resident admission date and time
· Issues oral and written instructions to facility regarding specialized equipment needed (ie: wound vac, Bi-Pap, O2, etc)
· Determines work procedures to maintain sales efforts that secure positive referral flow to the facilities objectives
· Works with Regional Director of Marketing on collateral that best represents the needs of the Marketer
· Assists the Admissions Coordinators with suggestions on ordering give-aways and collateral
· Always maintains a positive demeanor with residents, resident families, and staff
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 3 years in healthcare industry and healthcare marketing preferred.; Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcare service sales experience preferred.
