Marketing Communication Manager manages the implementation of the marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging, and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Manager understands products, customers, and industry and develops focused communications in collaboration with organizational stakeholders across functions. Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials. Additionally, Marketing Communication Manager explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications. May oversee the planning and execution of trade shows and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging. Develops the internal and external resources required for communication program delivery. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Marketing Communication Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Now hiring a Communication Manager for Foundation Administation!This is a fast-paced position for a communications professional with strong skills in both project management and work as an individual contributor, adept at strategic and creative thinking, as well as writing and editing. Position oversees communication needs for Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation (PHF) special events; ongoing donor acquisition, cultivation and stewardship activities; annual donor report and newsletters; annual PRESGiving employee campaign; PHF web site; and social media. Position has autonomy, but requires extensive interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including close alignment with PHS Strategy and Customer Engagement. Strong organizational skills, necessary to manage multiple, multi-faced projects at one time, are essential.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Journalism or Communications.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in communications or marketing required.
    • Previous experience in healthcare, higher education or larger organization preferred.
    • Excellent writing, interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Competency with computer software, including MS Office, necessary.

    Responsibilities

    *Manages PHF communications strategy that aligns with branding, editorial and graphic standards developed by PHS Strategy and Customer Engagement. *Manages print and digital communications for PHF, working closely with PHF team and PHS colleagues (providers and staff), external partners (freelance communications professionals and vendors), and donors and volunteers.*Exhibits strong organizational skills necessary to ensure multiple, simultaneous projects are completed on time, also shows a high level of emotional intelligence and diplomacy to reconcile differences in creative direction and messaging.*Embraces a best practices approach to donor communications, staying up to date on trends in healthcare philanthropy. *Exhibits strong writing, editing, strategic and creative thinking, and project management skills.*Manage freelance communication professionals and other vendors, supporting ongoing communication needs. *Oversee annual planning and production of communications tactics and strategy for major annual events including Daffodil Days, small dinner events (salons) supporting major gift fundraising, annual donor reception and other events.*Responsible for the production and development of both print and digital communications with a particular focus on special events, PRESGiving employee campaign, annual donor report and biannual newsletters, case statements and web site.*Serve as on-site communications lead at major Foundation events.*Develop dynamic web content in collaboration with PHS Multimedia team; write and edit content, manage ongoing updates, and ensure new and consistent information is posted regularly. *Oversee PHF social media strategy and content development. *Serve as PHF liaison to PHS Strategy & Customer Engagement, maintaining regular communication with that team. *Serve as video production lead for PHF in partnership with PHS Multimedia Services.
