Marketing Communication Manager manages the implementation of the marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging, and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Manager understands products, customers, and industry and develops focused communications in collaboration with organizational stakeholders across functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Senior Marketing Manager with the development and implementation of marketing plans that drive sales and community awareness.
• Interface with the Marketing team and Peek’n Peak Resort staff to help direct and manage the development and delivery of marketing projects related to The Peak.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to provide creative guidance for digital and print graphics, ensuring design elements comply with company brand standards.
• Establish project schedules and management via online project management system (Monday.com).
• Lead assigned marketing projects, which includes the development of marketing strategies, optimizing consumer user experiences, and analysis of marketing campaign data.
• Develop engaging content for social media calendars.
• Assist with digital ad creation across Facebook and Instagram.
• Assist the Senior Marketing Manager with all email marketing campaigns related to Peek’n Peak Resort, including working with graphic designers to develop content, finalize design, prep segmented audience lists, and send as scheduled.
• Provide data analysis for social media, website, and email marketing tools, working with Senior Marketing Manager on new ideas to continually enhance our reach.
• Assist with writing projects across multiple channels including but not limited to newsletters, blog posts, and press releases.
• Perform creative aspects of communications projects, including copywriting and editing.
• Serve as a liaison for media when necessary.
• Assist with the development, planning, and execution of various special events. Take the lead on planning and promotion of events across multiple platforms and assist with set up / tear down, day of event coordination.
• Liaise with vendors as necessary including but not limited to photographers, videographers, and printers.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be analytical and creative with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
• Must demonstrate a solid understanding of ROI-driven marketing, and willing to push our business forward.
• Remains diplomatic and cool under pressure and while maintaining strong interpersonal skills.
• Possesses working knowledge of major social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
• Proficient with email marketing platforms (Acoustic, MailChimp) and best practices.
• Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside the department.
• Ability to write for a variety of mediums and provide attention to detail with copywriting and editing.
• Excellent phone, computer, and customer service skills required.
• Ability to work in a team and perform well independently, meeting position requirements without constant supervision
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed with flexible schedule in order to cover various events and peak-times of resort activity.
• Willing to embrace change and adapt strategies as necessary, sometimes with short notice.
• Experience with project management tools/software/applications a plus
• Experience with social media content publishing and listening tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite) a plus
• Interest in snow sports (skiing, snowboarding) a plus
Education:
• BA or BS in Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Marketing, Advertising or Sales experience.
