Marketing Communication Manager manages the implementation of the marketing communications strategy and programs, including advertising, branding, product promotion, and regulatory matters. Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging, and branding throughout all communication touch points. Being a Marketing Communication Manager understands products, customers, and industry and develops focused communications in collaboration with organizational stakeholders across functions. Oversees efficient processes for the regulatory review and approval of communication materials. Additionally, Marketing Communication Manager explores and adopts new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications. May oversee the planning and execution of trade shows and conferences to showcase products and amplify messaging. Develops the internal and external resources required for communication program delivery. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Marketing Communication Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Marketing Communication Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a talented Product Marketing Manager with strong creative and storytelling skills, to join the AWS Identity and Checkout team to develop a customer-centric narratives and deliver engaging experiences to drive top-level business goals. As a key team member in this fast growing, exciting space you will have the opportunity to help lead early market development efforts, establish compelling messaging, drive global growth, and help shape the future this AI-powered technology that will have a significant impact on our customers’ businesses. You will partner closely with AWS Executives, Product Managers, Marketing, Sales, and Partner leads.

    Position may be located in Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Austin, TX, or the Bay Area in CA. Relocation offered from within the US to Seattle, Austin, and Bay Area locations only. Boston is not eligible for relocation services.

    Key job responsibilities
    • Development of thought leadership product positioning and customer facing messaging
    • Work with executive leadership, at both the strategic and tactical level, to champion bold, creative ideas
    • Articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms
    • Define strategy, metrics, measurement plan, and testing plan for related programs
    • Test and refine new marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences
    • Own product launches and programs from end-to-end: managing creative processes, targeting and segmentation, planning, execution, reporting, and optimization
    • Analyze messaging and campaign effectiveness, data-driven
    • Work effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists to achieve our joint business goals
