Position Summary: Powder Mountain is currently seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to join the Marketing Team. Under the guidance of the Marketing Director, this role will take ownership of all marketing, including but not limited to website management, email marketing and CRM management, copywriting, digital and traditional marketing campaigns, budget, signage, events, email marketing, influencer management, and media relation logistics/hosting. This team member will exhibit a high proficiency in marketing, excellent management skills and the ability to be flexible in an ever-changing environment. This position will help mentor and manage the Content Coordinator role.

Requirements
Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience in digital marketing within the outdoor, destination marketing, and/or ski resort industry.
- Experience working with members of the press and media, including social media, to build relationships and grow positive media exposure.
- Experience writing and distributing press releases and other communications to the media. Experience writing articles and/or blogs a plus. Ability to edit and proofread the work of others is essential. Samples of written work should accompany resume & cover letter.
- Experience using social media platforms for business promotion and development, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other programs such as blog platforms. Demonstrated experience growing and tracking social reach and effectiveness.
- Ability to use and pull reports from analytic programs such as Google Analytics and media tracking programs like Cision Point or similar.
- Experience working with and managing one or more agencies and ensuring that their work is completed on schedule and in a satisfactory manner.
- Experience working on website customer management systems; editing and developing content for websites and making recommendations for improving website flow and traffic based on analytics and SEO results.
- Experience working on marketing campaigns and other projects from ideation to completion and working with various stakeholders throughout the process.
- Experience with editing photography and videography using programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design programs a plus.
- Experience in email marketing and copywriting.
- Fully proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to work hard, travel, and work weekends and/or long hours (when needed for critical business initiatives).
- Highly motivated, flexible, self-directed, and outgoing personality.
- Proven project management skills including planning, budgeting, time management, prioritization, problem solving, decision making, and communication - both written and verbal.
- Experience with creating seasonal campaigns.
- High skill level and knowledge of skiing and/or snowboarding.
- Acute attention to detail.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
- Preferred 5 years of experience in marketing and communications.
- Ability to work within and maximize a marketing & communications budget.
- Ability to forecast trends in the ski and outdoor recreation industry.
- Creative, while being strategic and proactive.
- Knowledge of photography and videography.
- High attention to visual and written details.
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate.
- Strong communication skills.
- Great multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of graphic programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design programs a plus.
- Knowledge of Office 365, Later (social media), Wrike (project management), social media platforms, Inntopia/Acoustic (CRM), Joomla (website CMS), etc, a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amount of weight (up to 40lbs )
- Sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis
- Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements
