Requirements:

Education:
§ Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing Communication, or English or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
Summary: Responsible for initiating, coordinating, and nurturing activities that promote a positive image.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Write and submit press releases, announcements, articles, and favorable editorial mentions in chiropractic and consumer publications, websites, and other media outlets.
· Develop and maintain working rapports with editors and other contacts responsible for various media outlets, via emails, visits, phone calls, etc.
· Maintain databases for contacts and media ‘hits’.
· Develop strategies to improve public relations impressions and reputation, including proposing article themes, press release events and topics, ways to improve reputation, etc.
· Conduct research for programs and projects.
· Maintain public relations section of company website by saving outside press releases, ads, and other materials that mention company as pdf files, using Adobe Acrobat, and forwarding to the web designer.
· Assist with long-range planning of the company’s public relations to help ensure the most effective use of company resources in meeting strategic and operational goals.
· Assess and track current public relations with chiropractic and public media, weekly.
· Lead all aspects of end-to-end execution of PR campaigns and programs to drive positive awareness around the brand.
· Develop a strong understanding of the company’s brand, customer needs, key differentiators, and market trends.
· Develop and manage an ongoing brand testimonial program with an emphasis on social conscience.
· Create and maintain community awareness.
· Travel to conventions to enhance company image and network with media, as needed.
· Create and implement seasonal chiropractic campaign.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
