Veterans Community Project (VCP) Overview
Founded in 2016 in Kansas City, MO, VCP is dedicated to supporting every man and woman who took the oath to defend our nation. The greatest barrier to ending Veteran homelessness is the revolving door of unstable housing and the frustrating maze Veterans must navigate in order to get basic support. We believe that to be an effective program, the first step is to connect Veterans and the community. VCP created an innovative homeless housing program and outreach assistance that provides inclusive services to aid Veterans in re-claiming control over their lives.

Position Summary
The National Director of Marketing is responsible for successfully planning and implementing strategic marketing plans aimed at prospective supporters of VCP across multiple mediums including social media, educational programs, our website, and other platforms as needed. This will require strategic ability to build and develop relationships within the organization and through community partnerships. The goals are centered on increasing donors, volunteers, and advocates through proactive marketing and fundraising campaigns and activities. The National Director of Marketing will also lead the creative direction of our annual fundraising event. Requires strong communication, collaboration with fundraising, relationship-building skills, exceptional organizational and project management skills, and a high degree of creative thinking and understanding of the ever-changing field of digital marketing. This role will have leadership and influence across the organization, providing national & local guidance of writing, social media content, video production, and ad campaigns, as a key decision maker establishing and maintaining VCP’s brand equity.
