Marketing Manager manages the projects and execution of marketing objectives, strategies, programs, and policies for all products and services for the organization. Translates the marketing vision into specific projects, action plans, and tactics. Being a Marketing Manager oversees critical marketing functions to ensure the information and support for programs are effectively delivered. Establishes robust data streams and analytical processes to track and Identify changes in customers, competitors, and business climate and enable responsive marketing activities.     Reporting to the Director of Marketing, The Boater’s World Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive B2C marketing strategies that generate awareness of the Boater’s World Marine Centers brand, offerings, and accomplishments. The Marketing Manager will function as a marine dealership digital experience strategist, applying customer journey thinking from awareness through loyalty. The Boater’s World Marketing Manager is also responsible for strategic planning, dealership marketing project management, creative output, data utilization, and stakeholder relationship development. The Marketing Manager – Boater’s World Marine Centers is not responsible for and should not be considered a stakeholder in Ridezilla, Partzilla, Firedog, or Boats.net marketing management.


    The holder of this role must possess an advanced understanding of digital marketing, content creation, and how to utilize a dealership CRM/DMS software, including Lightspeed when relevant.


    Primary duties and responsibilities, not limited to:

    • Direct and implement Boater’s World Marine Centers’ advertising and promotional activities based on market research.
    • Manage the digital footprint of the Boater’s World Marine Centers brand including online reputation, websites, social media accounts, third-party B2C websites, and more.
    • Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
    • Maintains knowledge of emerging products, platforms, services, trends, and technologies.
    • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with external vendors including digital ad partners, OEM partners, local media, etc.
    • Forecast, draft, implement, and oversee the department’s budget including measurement of ROI.
    • Monitor the effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives and optimize as needed.
    • Strengthen and unify our branding across dealerships.
    • Evaluate end-to-end customer experience across all mediums or touchpoints.
    • Increase top of mind awareness within our market space.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and manufacturer requirements.
    • Create and maintain brand consistency in all messaging both internal and external.
    • Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Marginal Duties

    • Represent Boater’s World Marine Centers at trade shows, manufacturer events, expos, and other external functions.
    • Serve as point of contact for all media requests and external communications.
    • Create and enforce workflow processes to ensure deliverables are completed on time.
    • Provide leadership and coaching to junior- or mid-level department personnel.

    Requirements

     Required Skills

    • Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and best practices.
    • Solid understanding of marine dealership structure, terminology, and market developments.
    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a high-paced, changing environment
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate with vendors, stakeholders, executives, and other internal departments.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Google Analytics (GA4) proficient
    • Ability to understand and manage brand SEO
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong prioritization and time management skills
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Skilled at performing marketing research
    • Working knowledge of marine Dealership CRM, DMS, Lightspeed, DealerSpike, and other relevant software

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • 5 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing departments or agencies, with practical paid, earned, and owned media knowledge.
    • Experience in the Marine, Automotive, RV, Powersports, or eCommerce industry is required
    • Proven track record in leadership roles and/or senior marketing role
    • Must be able to provide examples of:
    • Execution of Dealership Group marketing strategies.
    • Development and management of budget including measuring ROI.
    • Management of the organization’s digital footprint including websites and social media accounts.
    • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with external vendors

    Working Conditions

    • Full-time position reporting between the Bradenton and Tampa, Florida Boater’s World Marine Centers locations
    • May be required to work off-site in unpredictable conditions
    • Travel for trade shows, expos, etc. may be required
    • May be required to work more than 40 hours

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
