Creates, conveys brand messages and improves brand awareness. Being a Marketing Specialist develops sales presentations and provides reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing. May coordinate involvement in conferences, exhibitions and marketing seminars. Additionally, Marketing Specialist typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Marketing Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Responsibilities:
The Marketing Specialist will:- Develop programs to improve reputation and recognition
- Work closely with Sales team to define and create needed marketing materials and sales tools, including collateral, tradeshow needs, video, product launch and training materials
- Develop content for systems, products, and services to clearly articulate UCC’s value proposition
- Identify editorial opportunities and secure placements in top-tier publications, events, seminars, and conferences
- Plan, initiate and manage direct communication campaigns including technical thought leadership, internal publications and industry publications as required
- Research, outline, write, and edit technical content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements and value propositions
- Promote communication strategy through traditional and social outlets (press releases, webinars, emails, social networks)
- Manage social medial platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter through creating engaging content, monitoring analytics and adapting campaigns to achieve department targets
- Manage various sales-related, email marketing campaigns from content creation through analytics
- Curate content for weekly sales-related newsletters
- Manage digital ad and lead campaigns to ensure optional success
- Perform other duties, as needed
- 3 years of experience in a Professional Services and/or B2B environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, and/or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
