So, what will you be doing?    

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of barge operations at the wood pellet facility including but not limited to the preparation and staging of barges and the loading of aggregate material. The individuals routinely operate mobile loading equipment of pellets for barge transit to the port facility, as well as the maintenance of equipment and administrative functions to support barge operations.
The core responsibilities and duties include:   

• Effectively communicate to all team members and management any equipment deficiencies
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to effectively anticipate and diagnose problems and perform minor mechanical maintenance of barge operations.  
• Perform routine administrative functions including accurately and efficiently updating/maintaining inventory and production reports
• Ability to work flexible hours including unscheduled overtime, weekends and holidays
• Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, working at heights, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping)
• Industrial mobile operation experience/certification as required
• Effectively handle the drafting, documenting, and transmission of barge draft sheet data to personnel as part of load and release procedures
• Proficiently and safely prep, load, and release barges. 

Who you are?    

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years industrial experience
• Ability to adapt to working within a team or lone working environment, with minimal supervision
• Promote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and job safety procedures
