Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Overview of Responsibilities: 

    Grow our book of business by: 

    • Leading a team of up to 10 technicians. managing branch achievements. 
    • Communicate with customers to increase retention and overall satisfaction of services. 
    • Produce data to provide real time feedback on goals and metrics. 
    • Provide insight on routing, scheduling, and overall needs from your team of technicians.

    • Providing knowledgeable, dynamic, and experienced leadership. 
    • Executing hiring and training for new and existing team members. 
    • Identifying areas that need improvement in current processes and practices. 

    Communicate effectively.

    Day-to-Day Expectations will include: 

    • Managing a team of up to 10 technicians at our Hazel Green location. 
    • Hiring and executing training procedures for new and existing employees. 
    • Evaluating performance and providing ongoing training.  
    • Utilizing our CRM system to manage and update customer information. 
    • Staying up to date with industry trends, product knowledge, and company offerings to effectively communicate with customers.  
    • High school diploma or equivalent. 
    • Excellent communication and employee developmental skills. 
    • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and manage a team. 
    • Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic and a results-driven mindset. 
    • Proven track record as a successful people manager, leading a team of 5 or more

    In this role, you can expect:
