Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Description:

    Manager all aspects of equipment delivers and inventory control at jobsite and or storage facility and coordinate with jobsite operations for JIT delivery.

    Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage inventory of process equipment supplies on jobsite.
    • Manage QA/QC chain of custody program supplies on jobsite.
    • Collaborate with external Audit to account for all equipment and supplies.
    • Organize, coordinate and conduct inspections and repairs of all tools and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
    • Oversee delivery and pickup of inventory to/from the jobsite.
    • Manage trades for receiving, loading, and unloading and equipment movement tasks.
    • Schedule and track job site deliveries.
    • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program and minimum of 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
      • Knowledge of rigging and equipment usage for special handling of materials and equipment.
      • Ability to read P&ID and equipment drawings and data sheets, preferred.
      • Knowledge of construction tools and supplies preferred.
      • High degree of organization and attention to detail.
      • Negotiate and collaborate with others.
      • Work independently and as part of a team.
      • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
      • Proficient in computer applications, bar coding software and MS Office.

        Physical Demands:
        Performance of the duties will occasionally require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

        Work Environment:
        While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
