Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Materials Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description

    SUMMARY:

    The Branch Manager reports directly to the Regional Operations Vice President. This Supply Center role is responsible for managing the operations of the facility, providing leadership, ensuring customer service standards and supporting sales and operations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Asset Management

    • Labor and Operating Expense
    • Accounts Receivables and Inventory

    Process Management:

    • Productivity/Efficiency

    People Management

    • Hiring/Onboarding/Development of Customer Care and Driver/Warehouse staff

    Safety Management

    • OSHA/DOT/Regulatory Compliance
    • Facility, Fleet, and Job Hazard Awareness

    PRODUCT/MARKET:

    • Product focus: Familiar with all AMI products (particularly windows and siding)
    • Customer focus: All accounts remodeling or new construction. Buyers to focus on are buyers that call into the supply center or order at the counter.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 2 years of Management experience
    • 1 years of building materials experience preferred
    • College degree desirable
    • Results driven, Self-directed, organized, and detail oriented
    • Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast paced environment, composed under pressure
