Materials Control Manager manages daily operations and planning to optimize the flow of raw materials, supplies, and equipment from initial procurement to the final disposition and fulfill material requirements for volume, cost, and scheduling business operations. Uses material requirement plans to ensure the required flow of materials is maintained. Being a Materials Control Manager coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Monitors operations and troubleshoots and resolves operational roadblocks. Additionally, Materials Control Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Materials Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     SUMMARY

    The Assistant Store Manager provides leadership for the entire front end and receiving areas. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for assisting the Store and Sales Floor Manager with productivity on the sales floor, as well as engaging customers with concerns, needs, and assisting with sales flow. Will also assist with team building, coaching, and development of associates. Will work with the Freight Flow Manager and Merchandising Lead to ensure rapid transition of freight to the sales floor, and continuous building and upkeep of displays and features. Responsible for both opening and closing the store to company standards and guidelines. Previous retail management experience is required.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer friendly environment. Outstanding standards should be maintained by making sure each store associate greets customers, has solid product knowledge and achieves all other components of customer service
    • Develop and execute plans for all coaching, training and development, evaluating, supervising, and scheduling of store associates
    • Financial oversight of all sales and profit goals (with store manager support). Achieve superior results by developing and implementing strategies for merchandising, expense control and shrink reduction
    • Complete monthly Loss Prevention audit and take corrective measures as needed. Complete facilities management audit, follow-up on corrective actions
    • Lead appropriate monthly meetings (ex. Safety Meeting) and assess all changes from the meetings.
    • Perform all Store Manager functions of opening and closing the store, as needed
    • Support other Team Leaders as needed
    • Complete associate schedules and maintain attendance records in a timely manner
    • Timely and accurate completion of all internal reporting processes
    • Assure staffing needs of the Store and Company are met by maintaining outstanding hiring standards, and recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates on a regular basis. Encouraging associates to refer qualified candidates is crucial
    • Additional responsibilities to be determined as business needs arise

    Requirements

    • Ability to operate store equipment (including but not limited to telephone, copiers, fax machines, computers, forklifts, etc.)
    • Ability to process merchandise information through store computer system, register and complete all required paperwork
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Two years of retail experience

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to move throughout all areas of the store; sales floor, receiving, register areas, including the outside perimeter of the store
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of times, up to entire shift
    • Ability to bend, kneel, lift and pull on a routine basis

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Must be willing to work irregular or non-core business hours, nights, weekends as needed to have store coverage
