Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Summary

The Director Supply Chain is responsible for developing, implementing, measuring, and leading all facility supply chain strategies and efforts. This position is responsible for meeting key hospital strategic objectives and translating the vision of the future of KH Supply Chain into an actionable strategy for Supply Chain at the hospital level, e.g. focusing on supply chain excellence internally. The role is also responsible for understanding and collaborating with clinical and non-clinical department directors on all non-labor expenses to ensure delivery of lowest total cost of supplies, equipment and services while supporting the clinical, functional, operational and quality criteria necessary to fulfill the hospital mission. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Details

• Responsible for developing, implementing, measuring and leading facility supply chain strategies for assigned facilities (all departments)
• Develop internal processes to ensure we are meeting key hospital strategic objectives and metrics
• Translate the corporate vision of Supply Chain into an actionable campus-based strategy
• Collaborate with other campus-based Directors of Supply Chain (Ops) to ensure consistent policies and processes across the network
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical department directors on all non-labor expenses to ensure high service delivery at the lowest total cost
• Run local value analysis teams to assist in controlling non-labor expenses
• Drive campus-based initiatives on utilization opportunities

Jon RequirementsMinimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Management or related field is required, master’s preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

• 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Materials Management or equivalent experience working with both at a leadership level from within a multi-clinical setting
• 5 years’ experience in contract negotiations and supply contract administration, while working collaboratively with network departments.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Experience in developing vision, leadership, mentorship and innovating new strategies for system vision enhancement or development.Must possess the skill and training to manage and lead a diverse group of people.
• Must understand the intricacies of organizational politics to effectively develop strategies for success
• Knowledge of Health care materials management/supply chain
• Skilled in Financial management, Microsoft Office suite, interpersonal communication across all levels of the organization
• Ability to multitask, lead complex projects
