What You'll Do

The Buyer Manufacturing Products and Materials will be accountable for the purchase of products and materials for the company. Duties include building relationships with suppliers, executing strategic supply chain strategies, and supporting the procurement process.

**This position is a Salary-Exempt position, working on-site at the Hayesville, Ohio location**

• Review supply and demand, procure and maintain necessary parts and material for efficient production.
• Manage and develop global and domestic suppliers for necessary performance.
• Negotiate and manage contracts for purchases.
• Manage projects from initial planning to completion.
• Expedite purchase orders with suppliers.
• Create and maintain documents as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure products purchased are in accordance with project goals.
• Keep accurate records of purchases made and respond to written and verbal messages.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Seek and maintain cost savings initiatives and report out on a quarterly basis.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business-related field.
• 5 years of purchasing and sourcing experience.

• Ability to multi-task, work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to understand and communicate basic engineered drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with MS Office applications, ERP systems (Epicor).
• Able to solve problems quickly and effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, good written and oral skills a must.
