Being a Materials Director coordinates procurement, warehouse, and distribution operations to improve operational efficiencies and workflows crucial to the flow of materials. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Materials Director typically reports to a director. The Materials Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Our award-winning theme park is seeking Material Handlers to execute multiple functions of the warehouse and supports the back of house operations for Anakeesta.
Responsibilities
Receiving
Load and unload vendor trucks using the correct lifting techniques to receive daily deliveries
Verifies packing slip with actual received items
Creates any new items in Eatec (inventory management software)
Receives product in Eatec (inventory management software
Accurately entering and/or verifying item price
Verifying all barcodes are in Eatec correctly
Complete credit requests
Verify and submit invoices
Creates requisitions to send appropriate items to retail locations or other operational areas
Place and store remaining product in correct designated location
Flexible to assist other warehouse, retail or related teams as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Transfer
Review requisition reports for each individual shop or storage location
Complete a transfer for all available items to complete each requisition in an efficient time frame
Transfer all new receipts to the appropriate stockroom using Eatec (inventory management software) and store replenishment in appropriate area in warehouse
Accurately price all product before it goes to Anakeesta Prep pallets for next day delivery
Assist with adjusting and building inventory par levels
Keep all assigned areas neat and clean, this allows for not only easy location of items but ensures safety by avoiding slips, trips and falls
When dealing with consumables, date, rotate and put stock away while following FIFO (First In First Out) Guidelines
Use proper handling of all items as some will be fragile and need to be positioned a certain way while carrying, shelving and transporting.
Assist with cycle counts
Other duties as assigned.
Driver (if certified)
Load daily delivery
Review transfer documents at pick-up and delivery points
Transport product to Anakeesta’s various drop off points
Unload product and review with receiver
Pick up additional items as needed
Assist warehouse and retail sales teams as needed
Fork-Lift Operation (if certified)
Safely operate forklift
Pay attention to your surroundings at all times
Ability to carefully load, locate and unload pallets
This position offers advancement opportunities for candidates that train for and pass forklift certifications and/or DOT certifications for driving.
21 years of age or older

OSHA knowledge- proper lifting techniques, forklift safety, and other applicable regulations
Able to work in all-weather conditions.
Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
Have flexible schedule to work at Gatlinburg and Sevierville locations as needed
Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.; can push, pull, grasp, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, and reach overhead
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time on uneven ground
Ability to preform repetitive motions for an entire shifts
