General Job Description
The Quality Engineer will support launch activities and advanced product quality planning activities including PPAP preparation, PFMEAs, Process Flows, and Control Plans. Daily responsibilities will include the preparation and implementation of tools and programs that will be handed off to production with the goal of good products produced for shipment and ensuring the quality standards are met and continually improved on for the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create, lead, and aid in the investigation of Corrective Action Reports (8D’s).
Assist in control plan creation and updating.
FMEA updating and periodic review of ratings.
Complete PPAP documentation, with close communication with the customer.
Customer communication, specifically complaints or other concerns, with visits to customer locations when needed.
Perform and analyze capability studies and prepare reports.
Complete Layouts and testing on parts for PPAP, Problem Solving, etc.
Establish, monitor, and follow up on required product testing as required by customer, internal, and bench-marking requirements, to assure product/design intent, function, and integrity.
Ongoing testing of parts (Functional, Dimensional, Physical properties, etc.)
Manage quality measurement facilities and tools.
Participate in cross-functional teams in the pursuit of problem-solving and mistake-proofing quality problems.
Assist with preparation and participation in customer surveys resulting in desired approvals.
Responsible for following all internal and OSHA-required safety procedures.
Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates and supervision whenever necessary.
Track and report quality metrics; analyze quality data to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes or proposed changes.
Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
Able to speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers, and employees of the organization.
Maintains adherence to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Protect our customers to ensure each product meets established quality standards of zero-conformances.
Other duties as assigned by management.
