Materials Engineer plans for the most cost-effective utilization of materials. Applies knowledge of material science to recommend engineering and manufacturing changes to attain design objectives in the most economical manner possible. Being a Materials Engineer reviews blueprints and specifications to determine the appropriate materials needed to achieve successful completion of initiatives. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Materials Engineer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Summary: Seeking a Materials Engineer to join a lab team focusing on materials testing, quality assurance, and compliance of products.
Requirements:
BS degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in materials engineering; recent graduates with strong internship experience considered.
Experience with materials testing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite for data management and presentation.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of materials properties, characterization techniques, and processing methods.
Responsibilities:
Work on the Materials Engineering Lab team.
Conduct materials testing.
Write technical reports to ensure product quality and compliance.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
