Our Recycle Division is looking for a Supervisor. This position will report directly to the Recycle Materials Manager.
What you’ll get to do- Manage multiple recycle sites, with 35-50% overnight travel required.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to ensure all recycle locations operate at optimal effectiveness and efficiency.
- Plan and schedule plant maintenance to maximize productivity and optimize the utilization of manpower, resources, and equipment. Management of an effective maintenance program is crucial to ensure that assets are maintained, critical spare parts are accessible, and costs are controlled.
- Supervise and direct production crews, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, as well as daily, weekly, and annual performance objectives.
- Report daily production and track KPI’s of plant performance.
- Ensure material production meets quality control standards.
- Schedule plant and mobile repair and maintenance internally and with outside vendors.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are always kept for the efficiency of the plant.
- Collaborate with the Area Sales and Quality Control teams, delivering high quality, minimizing waste, and balancing customer needs with production capabilities and inventory levels.
- Promote safe work habits and provide safe working conditions – lead daily tailgate meetings, ensure job tasks are completed as per job procedures, and demonstrate leadership towards all company safety policies.
- Build and maintain a culture focused upon safety and health, as well as compliance with company and regulatory safety, health, and environmental standards. Sites are regulated by MSHA and OSHA regulations.
Essential Experience and Skills- 5 years of work experience in aggregate or recycle maintenance/production or at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a related industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and respectfully.
- Composure, and the ability to professionally present information to, and respond to questions from others.
- Ability, desire, and motivation that align with the work environment, fluctuating shift schedules, and occasionally lift heavy objects and work in awkward/confined spaces.
Preferred Experience and Skills- Working knowledge of aggregate or recycle maintenance/production equipment and processes.
- Analytical abilities and comfort with using data and objective information for making decisions.
- Project team experience.
- Capability and desire to become a plant manager in the future.
Work Environment- Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
