Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Additionally, Materials Handling Supervisor ensures procedures are according to specifications and that resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. May assist in inventory of stock and stock rotation. Enters information into a computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored data, or respond to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules. Material Flow Supervisor
The Material Flow Supervisor is a leadership role on the Operations and Inventory Planning team at Redwood Materials. This person will coordinate the efficient movement of materials to support production, coordinate the receipt of raw materials, and prepare shipment of finished goods. The Material Flow Supervisor will also build a team of Material Handlers, and mentor for professional growth and operational excellence.
