Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Additionally, Materials Handling Supervisor ensures procedures are according to specifications and that resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. May assist in inventory of stock and stock rotation. Enters information into a computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored data, or respond to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules. We have an opportunity in our Wood-Ridge, NJ location for an experienced ceramic engineer or material scientist who will help us to develop and deliver material systems and processes to advance our leading position in the ceramic core manufacturing industry.
Major Responsibilities:As a Senior Material Scientist, you will help to develop, test, and characterize ceramic formulations for injection molding applications. In this role, you will work closely with our PA Material Control Lab on raw material selection, develop new, or improve on existing ceramic core materials, develop processing and design solutions to meet our customer needs, guide junior engineers and technicians, and transfer / scale up new technologies to a production environment.
