Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Additionally, Materials Handling Supervisor ensures procedures are according to specifications and that resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. May assist in inventory of stock and stock rotation. Enters information into a computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored data, or respond to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Ready-Mix Trucker Driver
The ready-mix truck driver is responsible for delivering concrete to job sites, following all safety and operational guidelines.This position also evaluates concrete for quality and size according to the ticket. Also, this position maintains courteous customer relations and any other duties as instructed by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:
- Conduct a thorough safety inspection daily and fill out required paperwork.
- Complete deliveries of concrete in a timely and courteous manor.
- Maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Make sure correct material and weight is loaded in the truck.
- Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic.
- Maintain performance objectives throughout the day.
- Other job duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of operating experience.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Current Class B CDL with no suspensions, failure to appear, etc.
- Valid medical card.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Frequently lift 10 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended time, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing and balancing.
