Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Additionally, Materials Handling Supervisor ensures procedures are according to specifications and that resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. May assist in inventory of stock and stock rotation. Enters information into a computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored data, or respond to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Materials Handling Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. We are hiring a dependable and articulated Excavtor Mining Operator . This person will be responsible for:
· Timely and regular attendance
· Performs pre and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, and making management aware of all critical issues, as well as documenting vehicle condition
· Demonstrates the ability to operate an Excavator
· Be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust controls of machine to exact positions as necessary
· Be able to identify when critical equipment failures make it unsafe to operate, or not performing correctly and immediately bring to management attention
· Affective communication
· Ensure MSHA/regulatory compliance
· Immediately report any unsafe conditions with work area or equipment to manager
· Participates and cooperates in all scheduled trainings, briefings, and meetings as required by site manager
· Follows route assignments throughout the day and completes all required documentation
Working hours Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, some Saturdays as needed. Overall 40-50 hrs per week
All new hires required to pass a drug test
