Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Additionally, Materials Handling Supervisor ensures procedures are according to specifications and that resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. May assist in inventory of stock and stock rotation. Enters information into a computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored data, or respond to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Responsibilities:
Inspect and check over used equipment and orchestrate with the shop what repairs need done
Get machines detailed up and ready for pictures
Take pictures of machines and get them listed online
Take calls for online listings and sell equipment
Take rental calls, send out appropriate equipment and enter it in our system
Monitor, analyze, and minimize direct costs including depreciation, maintenance, and associated freight
Monitor reports and metrics to optimize system integrity, utilization and ROI of rental fleet
Orchestrate the movement and positioning of fleet between locations to increase profitable utilization while preserving the culture of ownership
Oversee the proper documentation for all equipment leaving/returning including New, Used, and Rental (demo, loaners, off lease returns, etc.)
Receive New and Used equipment in the operating system and complete paperwork
Responsible for the transfer and tracking of equipment (New, Used, and Rental) between stores
Optimize the rental fleet size, product make up and age to insure the maximum profitability
Promote a culture of accountability to ensure that the companys assets and resources are maintained
Other duties, responsibilities and project oversight, as assigned

Physical Requirements: Minimal
Occasionally lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds or pushing/pulling small objects
Occasional to frequent walking or standing
Physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines which include a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc. on a repetitive basis.
Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
Occasionally required to be in the shop/manufacturing area and will be exposed to normal hazards.
